Leslieville · Queen East
Seasonal Canadian cooking, an Ontario-leaning wine list, and a fireplace that runs from October to April. Two tables left for tonight.
Our story
Pinegrove opened in 2022 in a former hardware store on Queen East. Chef Maya Chen built the kitchen around the wood-fired hearth at the back, and the menu changes whenever the Ontario season turns. Most of what arrives at the table travelled less than two hundred kilometres to get there.

We hold a third of the room for walk-ins each night, but reservations are recommended Thursday through Sunday. The bar is first-come.
Walk-ins seated at the bar and high tops from 5pm until we run out of room (usually around 7:30 on weekends).
Reviews
“Came for my mum's birthday and we ended up staying way past closing, nobody rushed us out. The halibut was unreal. Our server even sorted out something off-menu for my picky kid.”
“Booked late on a Friday and they squeezed us in at the bar, which honestly might be the best seat in the place. Bavette and a glass of the Niagara red, perfect.”
“Really good neighbourhood spot. Gets loud when it's full but I kind of like that. Only tip is grab a reservation on weekends, we waited a bit last time.”
